When and how to water it

During summer, we recommend watering Chinotto every 7 days, while every 14 days is sufficient in winter. It is essential to water thoroughly and let the soil dry out between waterings. Always check the top 2–3 cm of soil: if it is dry, it is time to water.

Temperature and humidity

Chinotto thrives in a temperature range between 10°C and 30°C, but can tolerate temperatures as low as -5°C and as high as 35°C. Ideal humidity is moderate, between 40% and 60%.

The right fertilizer

During spring and summer, we recommend fertilizing Chinotto every 30 days with a balanced fertilizer specifically for citrus plants. This will help keep the plant healthy and vigorous.

For Chinotto, well-draining soil is essential, preferably a mixture of sand, potting soil, and organic matter. The ideal pH is around 6. Make sure the pot has good drainage to prevent waterlogging.
