Dettagli e cura

Features

Dimensions: 21x27 cm.
Natural moss and lichen stabilized with vegetable glycerin, which preserves their color and softness.
Black or white frame, suitable for different interior styles.
Each piece is unique, made in Italy: Made in Italy.

How to preserve it

Position and light

It does not need light because stabilized greenery does not carry out photosynthesis: you can hang it even in rooms without windows, such as offices or windowless bathrooms. However, avoid direct sunlight and very hot halogen lamps, as UV rays can fade the pigments over time.

Water

It must never be watered: water can dissolve the pigments and irreversibly damage the moss and lichen. If it gets wet accidentally, immediately dab it with absorbent paper without rubbing and leave it to air-dry. Fertilizer, pruning, and repotting are not needed.

Temperature and humidity

The ideal temperature is between 15 and 25 °C, with tolerated minimums of 5 °C and maximums of 35 °C; ideal humidity is between 40% and 70%. Avoid very humid environments such as bathrooms with showers, outdoor locations, contact with water or solvents, underfloor heating, and sudden temperature changes.

Cleaning

To remove dust, use a hair dryer on the cool-air setting, held 30 cm away, without touching the fibers directly.

Frequently asked questions

What is stabilized moss?

It is natural moss treated with vegetable glycerin: it preserves its appearance, color, and softness without the need for water, light, or maintenance.

How long does a stabilized moss picture last?

If kept away from direct sunlight and water, under the recommended temperature and humidity conditions, it retains its colors for years. When the pigments begin to fade, it has reached the end of its life.

Does the picture require maintenance?

No, it does not require water, light, or pruning: simply remove dust occasionally with a hair dryer on the cool-air setting.

Can I hang it in the bathroom?

Yes, in windowless bathrooms; avoid bathrooms with showers, however, as they are too humid.
