Placement: Indoors, near a source of natural light and away from hot or cold drafts. In Mediterranean climates, place it outdoors in direct sunlight all year round, protected from frost and intense sunlight.
Watering: Abundant during the summer months, moderate in spring. Adjust watering according to the season and climatic conditions to ensure optimal growth.
Care level: Easy - despite its maturity and substantial size, it remains a hardy and easy-to-manage species, also ideal for those who are approaching large bonsai for the first time.
Interesting facts about Elm wood:
Elm wood is extraordinarily resistant when kept constantly in water. Thanks to this unique property, it has been used for centuries to build boats, bridges, dams, outdoor platforms, and for woodworking in general. This characteristic makes the Elm a universal symbol of strength, resilience, and lasting durability.
