Sarracenia venosa D.12 H.20 cm

Sarracenia venosa – The Most Fascinating Carnivorous Plant for Indoors and Outdoors

The Sarracenia venosa is one of the most spectacular and sought-after carnivorous plants: its tubular traps — called pitchers — stand elegantly upright, decorated with reddish and purplish veins that give them an almost painterly appearance. Native to the marshy areas of North America, this plant fascinates with its wild beauty and its extraordinary insect-catching mechanism, which is completely natural and requires no fertilizers.

Plant Characteristics

• Pot diameter: 12 cm
• Plant height: approx. 20 cm
• Tubular traps (pitchers) with decorative reddish and purplish veins
• Carnivorous plant: catches insects naturally
• Ideal for bright environments, terraces, balconies, and damp gardens

Care and Maintenance

• Light: full sun or intense light – at least 4-6 hours of direct sun per day for optimal growth
