Trailing Vinca in Basket – A carpet of colourful flowers for balconies and terraces

The Trailing Vinca is one of the most beloved and generous trailing flowering plants for decorating balconies, terraces, and hanging baskets. Its bright and lively five-petal flowers bloom profusely from spring to autumn on slender, naturally cascading branches, creating a cheerful and visually striking colour effect. Presented in a practical hanging basket, it is ready to be hung and displayed immediately.

Plant Characteristics

• Basket diameter: 14 cm
• Plant height: approx. 30 cm
• Bright and lively five-petal flowers, in assorted colours
• Abundant and prolonged flowering: spring – autumn
• Slender and naturally trailing branches, ideal in a hanging basket
• Shiny and evergreen foliage, decorative even when not in bloom
• Resistant to summer heat and drought

Care and Maintenance

• Light: intense light or direct sun – it loves sunny positions that stimulate abundant flowering; it also tolerates bright indirect light
• Watering: regular in summer, allowing the substrate to dry slightly between waterings; avoid waterlogging
• Temperature: ideal between 15°C and 35°C; it is not hardy and should be sheltered below 5°C
• Substrate: well-draining and rich in organic matter
• Fertilisation: every 10-15 days in spring and summer with liquid fertiliser for flowering plants, to prolong and intensify flowering
• Pruning: trim the longest branches to maintain a compact habit and stimulate new flowering shoots

The Trailing Vinca in a basket is the ideal choice for those who want a consistently colourful and blooming balcony or terrace with minimal effort: lively, generous, and irresistible throughout the warm season.
