How to care for it
Light
It prefers full sun, which promotes lush flowering, but it also tolerates light partial shade.
Water
Water deeply approximately every 7 days in summer and every 14 days in winter. Before watering again, let the top 2-3 cm of soil dry out to prevent waterlogging.
Temperature and humidity
It thrives between 10 and 30 °C and tolerates lows down to -5 °C and highs up to 35 °C. Ideal humidity is between 40% and 60%. In areas with harsh winters, protect it from frost.
Fertilizer, soil, and repotting
From spring to early autumn, use a balanced liquid fertilizer every 30 days. The soil must be well drained: a mix of sand and clay-based potting soil is ideal, in a pot with adequate drainage holes. The best time to repot is spring.
Pruning and propagation
Prune the oleander after flowering to maintain its shape and encourage new buds. It is propagated by cuttings, the preferred method, taken in late spring or early summer, or by seed.
